RIM registers the domain blackpad.com ! WHY ?

Research In Motion has registered the domain blackpad.com. It is the possible sign of an imminent release tablet rumored for the company RIM. Rim is also bringing in BlackBerry OS 6 and also the new BlackBerry 9800
(RIM, Research In Motion) has recently registered the domainblackpad.com, whose code coincides exactly with the name of the hypothetical tablet RIM BlackBerry talked about for several months. The group, whose presence in the business world now has a strong history and tradition, could then revise its organic offering companies presenting new tools with which to work according to the dictates that innovation is forcing the mobile world. It also provided a quick release of the new BlackBerry 9800, inside which should debut the long-awaited BlackBerry OS 6.
A quick WHOIS search shows that blackpad.com domain has been registered on behalf of RIM from CSC, a company operating in the field of corporate-level brands. The document related to registration, although of course does not represent a direct confirmation of the existence of the tablet, however, has intensified the already numerous rumors circulating on the network.

From the little information emerged, the BlackPad should be somewhat contained with a size 7 or 8.9 inch screen, 1GHz processor and equipped with the front facing camera for video calls. The device also seems closely related to RIM smartphones, through which would get some additional features.

As regards instead the BlackBerry 9800whose debut is imminent, it will be a device similar in appearance and “feeling” to the traditional mobile devices RIM, were it not for the presence of a physical keyboard to scroll. Equipped with a touchscreen, the device will offer 4GB of internal memory and a 5 megapixel camera.
